Houses, White and Big

It's interesting how we, myself included, sometimes complain about technology, and we have to clump mainstream media into that 'technology' heading. Just 38-days ago, our country voted our first African-American into the highest office of our land; radio, newsprint and television--it was everywhere; a first non-Caucasian now holding the office of The President of The United States. It just so happens that this specific office provides housing for the holder of that office into what we call The White house; a semi-private, mostly public structure, built by slaves--African-American slaves, that were 'owned' (indentured) by their land-owning white male counterparts.
As President Elect Obama resigned as Illinois State Senator, preparing to take residence in Washington, D.C.; the media breaks a story of the Caucasian Governor of the same state that has been caught discussing monetary gains he wants in exchange for 'giving' someone the vacated Senatorial seat by our President Elect Obama--which is a total abuse of the Office of The Governor.
As President Elect prepares to slumber in the house that the African-American men built, it seems the current Governor of Illinois, pending trial and sentencing, could very well slumber in the house that the Caucasians built. An odd twist of fate and history--but quite fitting.
