Progressive or Liberal, which are you?

John Podesta spoke recently at the Aspen Institute. He addressed the subject of his new book, "The Power of Progress," and discussed the distinctions between progressivism and classical liberalism. Personally, he considers himself a progressive, and believes that it stands above liberalism due to its humanitarian focus. A century ago the nation seemed to take this "common good" approach to handle the issues associated with becoming an industrialized nation. Maybe progressive presidents will become a trend that marks the beginning of each century…
