I had a difficult time find an intriguing discussion to actually write about on the H-Net.org discussion networks. I found that the majority of posts were announcements, reviews, opportunities, requests for materials or simple questions that only really required a single response. It seemed like H-West had the most active community, but it felt strange to cite Dr. Nichols on his own assignment.
Somehow, I stumbled into the H-Russia discussion logs and discovered a posting entitled "NEWS: Polish Minster of Foreign Affairs Jozef Beck was recruited by Nazis 1938."
(http://h-net.msu.edu/cgi-bin/logbrowse.pl?trx=vx&list=H-Russia&month=1106&week=d&msg=Qm7Chx/3vwESz943jEPW%2bw&user=&pw=) by Grover Furr of Montclair University, who claimed, much like the title would lead you to believe, that the pre-WWII Polish Foreign Affairs Minister had been bought by Nazis for 300,000 marks. I attempted to read his source (http://historyfoundation.ru/ru/news_item.php?id=2114.), but I unfortunately do not read Russian. This was quickly argued against by Professor Cienciala, a Polish history expert, who claimed that the Soviets had invented this fabrication to justify the Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939.
I believe that Cienciala was probably correct, and the rest of H-Russia seemed to side with her as well. However, it led into an interesting discussion of Beck's pre-war policies and whether or not they assisted the Nazis or Polish citizens and, also, what constitutes sufficient historical evidence.
