Christmas 2008 in the White House is beautiful. The theme of the year is a Red, White and Blue Holiday. The White House Christmas trees are decorated with American Flags and tinsel. They used recycled ornaments and L.E.D. lights to help with the environmental aspect of the holiday cheer. The downstairs has other trees that are decorated with ornaments from the past presidential families like the Clintons. All the Christmas trees are from North Carolina There are many trees decorated in the White House, but the biggest one of all is the 18ft tree that is decorated with red, white and blue ornaments each designed by a member of the Senate. They were asked to chose an artist from their district and have a local artist decorate an ornament that signifies Christmas in their area. The White House looks cheerful, patriotic and festive.
