Obama on the Campaign Trail

This article and story kind of surprised me, it is about Senator Obama knocking on peoples’ doors personally in Ohio to promote his run for the Presidency. As far as I can remember I do not think I have ever heard of a Presidential Candidate doing this, at least not recently. Obama had some strong supporters and he also ran into a guy that questioned his plans on a certain topic. That made it an interesting article. You can read it to find out all about it; this photo is from the story. I thought it was a very gutsy but smart move on Obama's part to participate in such a unique way of campaigning to gain votes in a swing state like Ohio.

This article is about how 300 absentee ballots were sent out to people in New York with Obama's name misspelled on them. His name was spelled Barack Osama. I thought it was very interesting that someone could not catch that error since the article said they proofread them, and that it just must have slipped by. It is also very interesting because of all the talk that has occurred that Obama has associated with terrorists and that his name is similar to one of the most wanted terrorists in the world Osama Bin Laden.
