As President-elect Barack Obama begins to select members of his administrative team, he is considering former rivals Senator John McCain, Governor Bill Richardson, and Senator Hillary Clinton for key positions. Speculation is rampant concerning Hillary Clinton being named Secretary of State. Political analysts believe she is a strong voice in foreign policy with international experience and popularity around the world. Also, she and Vice-President-elect Biden get along well.
There has been discussion about how former President Bill Clinton will effect his wife's vetting process due to his financial dealings since his presidency and whether she is a representation of Obama's campaign theme of change. So the question is if Senator Hillary Clinton is named Secretary of State, will this be considered a wise decision by President-elect Obama because of her wealth of experience, or could he get a 'blowback' from his choice?
