Catharine The great

The oral History recording I had seen and listen to was about Empress Catharine the Great of Russia.  The recording is how the Empress Elizabeth favored her; from Elizabeth point of view she would of liked to pick Catharine to be the next Tsar. Over her nephew Peter III, who was more Prussian then Russian, also he was more childish then being the Next Tsar.  Elizabeth and other from the court see Catharine as great political players, which caused her to lose Favor of Elizabeth but not to long.

Catharine had lots of wit and was able to get people to do what she wanted. She also, had very power allies with Poland.  As one person from court said she was more Russian then her husband does to he love Prussia and Fredrick the great.  She was able to gamble which was very high risk as well, to get Peter III overthrown the Tsar.  

Catharine before she became Empress she had a lot of secrets about her, the only people she would let in would be the male company.  Even Catharine herself was quite surprise she othertrown her Husband. But many people in the court or in Russia liked him do to he was making Russia more Prussian and changing the country.  Once Catharine was on the throne she was quite Ruthless and wanted nothing but the best for Country.  People in the court notice, as well she was not the same as she was when she came to Russia. The sweet and innocent were gone, she became one of the Best Tsarina Russia has seen.   Even from Catharine point of view she was amazed how much powerful became under her rule.
