Tibet Remembered

I listened to a few short videos of interviews with people that were Tibetan natives during the Chinese take over in 1949. They were asked what life was like before the Chinese came into their country and how they felt afterwards. All three of the elders spoke about how wonderful life was before the take over. The women spoke about how she used to train horses and there was a lot of happy music accompanying them. When they spoke of the take over it was violent and sad. The accounts made the Chinese sound violent and agressive. What was interesting was the attitude of all of the people interviewed about how they feel about Chinese now. All three said that it wasn't worth feeling anger towards the Chinese because anger is an emotion that takes a lot of energy. I thought it was really interesting that all three referenced the Dalai Lama in response to their feelings.
