Disappearance of Greenland's Viking Settlers

I found this blog, on a history blog website, about a new theory on the disappearance of the original European settlers of Greenland.  The author is unknown,  but the site filled with history blogs from different eras.

The blog makes a point the it is more likely that the Norse settlers of Greenland left willingly for cultural reasons rather than starvation, disease, or war with the natives.  There is evidence to show that the settlers could support themselves with farming and raising animals, even by maintaining a diet of seafood.  However the article tries to present the idea that climate change in the area, which did have negative affects on farming and the raising of certain animals, caused the settlers' diet to change drastically to become more based on seafood.

It is believed that the settler's left Greenland to maintain their culture and normal lifestyle, taking with them their valuable, and leaving the land peacefully.
